I am Don Jorgensen and I am compelled to run because it is time to bring real change to Arizona. It’s time for experienced, practical and positive leaders in the AZ House of Representatives.

THE STEPS WE TAKE NOW will affect Arizona’s Quality of Life for the next decade. The steps we take now will determine whether our kids will have the same rights, the same opportunities, and the same shot at the American dream that we have today.

I believe in :

Freedom— As your Representative I will fight to protect our basic liberties and human rights, and keep government out of our private lives.

Security—While protecting lives and property, Arizona must strengthen programs that help the sick and vulnerable, safeguard the food we eat and products we use, support economic opportunity, and preserve our environment for future generations to enjoy.

Equal opportunity— Arizona’s future depends on providing all citizens, not just the privileged, with the opportunity for a better life.  I believe that we must oppose all forms of discrimination, ensure that hard work is rewarded, and that our children will have the same equal access to the American Dream that we have today.

Its time to make things happen for southern Arizona!  If elected in November I will listen to you and serve as your voice in Phoenix to fight for healthy people, a healthy environment, and a healthy economy. 

 Don’s work ethic, sense of responsibility to family and community, and values come from his upbringing as “service brat.”  He came to Tucson in 1978 to attend the University of Arizona, where he earned a graduate degree and met Kathy, his wife of 27 years. They chose Tucson as the place to live and raise their son and daughter. Don knows our community and has served on state and local boards addressing safety, community, health and youth needs.
